Chasing the Golden Sun: a 50th Anniversary Ride
I’m cycling across the country on the longest day of the year, in an inspirational event called ‘Chase the Sun’. The deal is that I start pedalling in the east at sunrise and aim to arrive at the western destination by sundown…
As a Cardiac Health exerciser I know the importance of having a fitness goal; as a Cardiac Health supporter I thought this would look like enough of a challenge that others would consider sponsoring me (it’s Whitley Bay to Ayr, just over 200 miles in just under 18 hours…)
I’m strangely excited by this, and grateful that husband David is driving me and my bike to the start and has promised to scoop me up at the finish, whatever time that turns out to be!
It would be lovely if you’d consider sponsoring me in this endeavour, but if not, your good wishes will be just as welcome…
